EnrollmentWe're glad you found Takoma Children’s School! TCS is a year-round preschool with warm, talented staff, and low student-teacher ratios. If you’ve been looking for childcare already, then you’ve probably discovered that the key is to start early and think long-term. Families are encouraged to apply to Takoma Children's School as early as possible, taking into consideration the unique high-quality program TCS has to offer and the intimate size of our school. The number of openings at TCS varies from year to year, but one application is all that is needed to be eligible for enrollment until your child is 6 years old.
Families may apply at any time. TCS takes into consideration a number of factors in the admissions process, including scheduling, gender balance, the date of application, whether the child is a sibling of a current or alumni family, and diversity in our student body.

Prospective families who turn in an application form and a non-refundable $50 fee are eligible for admission at any time throughout the year should attrition occur. Children are accepted as space becomes available, but most children enter in September. A child must be two years old by Sept. 1 to be eligible for enrollment.
The application deadline for the 2012-13 school year is Friday, February 24, 2012, but financial aid applications are due by February 1, 2012. We will let you know of your child's enrollment status – whether he or she has been accepted - by March 12.
