Enrollment Information
TCS is a year-round preschool with warm, talented staff and low student-teacher ratios. The number of openings at TCS varies from year to year, but one application is all that is needed to be eligible for enrollment until your child reaches kindergarten age.
Enrollment options include full-time (5 days per week) and a few part-time enrollment slots (3 or 4 full-time days per week) in our Bluebirds classroom. None of the classrooms offer half days.

We are now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Application deadline is January 30, 2026.
We also have a few openings for the current school year. Applications for the current 2025-2026 year will be considered on a rolling basis. If you are interested in enrolling your child for the current school year, please email office@takomachildren.org.
Acceptance Criteria
We are committed to reflecting the wonderful, diverse community we live in. Acceptance is not first come, first served as we strive to have balanced classrooms by age, gender, and more.
Enrollment decisions are based on several factors, including the number of spaces available at any given year, the importance of balancing each classroom by gender and age, parents’ commitment to the school, and our goal of reflecting the larger, diverse community, including family structure and racial, ethnic, and gender diversity. We make every attempt to enroll siblings of current children and alumni.
Tuition
Tuition is paid monthly and varies based on the class and whether the child is enrolled full-time or part-time. For the 2025-2026 school year, the rates are:
- Bluebirds: $2,535 (5 days per week); $2,205 (4 days per week); $1,875 (3 days per week)
- Stars: $2,425 (5 days per week); no children enrolled part-time
- Rainbows: $2,275 (5 days per week); no children enrolled part-time
Tuition typically increases by approximately 3-4% each school year. TCS does not offer a sibling discount.
Financial Aid
